  • Packaged press kits, managed databases, wrote news releases, made follow-up calls, compiled guest lists, coordinated events, organized events, created event promotions/flyers/invitations, edited video, uploaded content to media outlets, submitted press releases, researched and developed target market in database, maintained and updated company websites, attended performances and client meetings etc.

  • Merchandise jewelry and various other types of products at Macy’s and other stores around RI and MA.

  • Helped organize and execute product promotion events and demonstrations.

  • Did field and lab work for multiple research projects. I worked under Leanna Heffner, who does her work through the Scott Nixon lab. Examples of duties: glassware acid bathing, salt marsh mud coring, field work collecting algae samples, working on macroalgae experiment, helping with bromine analysis, creating reagents for bromine analysis, taking inventory of samples, cleaning out and organizing storage units, documenting data for denitrification/nitrogen fixation experiments, retrieving samples from mud cores etc.

Feb. 2010 – May 2010  Teacher’s Aide, Jamestown Early Learning Center, Jamestown, RI

  • Worked mainly with toddlers ages 2-4. The job required a multitude of interactions with or for the children: playing, teaching, organizing, reading and singing aloud, diaper changing, monitoring, cleaning, lunch /craft time/ nap time/ snack time execution, breaking the babyroom for lunch, helping with the preschool group etc.

  • Worked as a personal assistant for a woman working on her second personal healthcare book. I cooked, cleaned, organized, researched, and was there for motivation/support and to bounce ideas off of.

  • Executed in-home demonstrations and product promotion as an independent sales contractor; I worked off personal referrals alone.

  • Worked at a small eating place/ grocery and prepared food store off Elmgrove St. One side was grocery/prepared food and the other was a small sandwich/dining area. I worked both sides but primarily on the grocery side.

  • Worked the floor, folded and put away merchandise, helped rearrange the store and displays, rang customers up, etc.

Jan. 2001- Sep. 2004  Babysitter, self-employed, Van Buren, Arkansas
  • Caretaker/Babysitter for many families' children ages 0-10 in and around the Van Buren, AR area. During this time, I also cared for children in my church's nursery, taught at Vacation Bible School, and helped with Children's Church on Sunday mornings.
